FAQS about MGSHA
- Middle Georgia Sport Horse Association (MGSHA) is a grassroots horse club in central Georgia encompassing Macon, Warner Robins and nearby areas. MGSHA members enjoy a variety of primary disciplines including dressage, eventing, hunter jumper, endurance, driving and natural horsemanship, but all share an interest in dressage training or competition.
- MGSHA members live as far north as Julliette and as far south as Cochran.
- MGSHA meetings and activities are open to members and non-members, but only Board Members can vote at Board Meetings. Most meetings are held in Byron at the Casa Mexico or at China Buffet off Eisenhower Parkway in Macon. Both geographically central to our membership area and just off of I-75.
- MGSHA provides several affordable local clinics and schooling shows each year.
- MGSHA membership includes a United States Dressage Federation (USDF) membership which means no non-member fees at USDF competitions.
- We are in Region 3 of the USDF which includes Georgia, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee.
- MGSHA members receive the USDF Connections Magazine, the monthly official publication of the USDF.
- MGSHA members can find their USDF/MGSHA membership number at USDF.org
- MGSHA welcomes members of all ages and levels of experience.
- MGSHA is member run organization so it depends on its members.
